Keepwell stores your people, notes, reminders, memories, birthdays and lists on your device. There is no Keepwell account. We don’t sell data, show ads, use third-party analytics, or track you across apps or websites.

Ask Keepwell

Ask Keepwell is an optional AI assistant. Nothing is sent unless you use it. When you ask a question, Keepwell sends:

• your question and the earlier messages in that chat;
• the saved details about the people the chat is about (or about everyone, in a chat about your whole circle), so the answer can use them;
• a random install ID (see below).

This goes over an encrypted connection to our server, which runs on Cloudflare. Our server passes it to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI model, to write the answer. Our server does not store your questions, your notes or the answers. Anthropic processes them to produce the answer, keeps them only for a limited time under its commercial terms, and does not use them to train its models. Your Ask Keepwell chats are saved on your device only.

Install ID. Ask Keepwell uses a random ID created on your device, so our server can count how many questions are asked each day and prevent abuse. It isn’t linked to your name, your Apple Account or your notes, and it isn’t used for anything else. Our server keeps only a running count of today’s questions, which starts over each day. Older versions of the app don’t send this ID, so for them your IP address is used for the count instead.

Other features

• Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.
• When you share a link to Keepwell, the app loads that page directly from the website to fill in its title, description and image. Nothing goes through our servers.
• Some suggestions, like those when you share something into Keepwell, are made by Apple Intelligence on your device.
• Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Apart from Ask Keepwell, your data stays on your device unless you choose to back it up, transfer it, or share it through system features outside the app.

Deleting your data

Remove people and details in the app, erase everything in Settings → Data & Privacy, or delete the app. Because our server doesn’t store your Ask Keepwell content, there’s nothing for us to delete there.
